Avoriaz is a purpose-built ski resort situated in the Portes du Soleil ski area in France. The resort of Avoriaz forms part of the Commune de Morzine.
Avoriaz caters for all levels of snowboarder, and is generally regarded as one of the top snowboarding destinations in the world, with 4 terrain parks and a super-pipe. The resort is car-free, allowing boarders to cruise right into the heart of the town and with the majority of its accommodation being right on the pistes.
There are plenty of other activities to do in and around the resort, including paragliding, snow mountain biking and snow-shoeing, ice climbing, husky sledding and more.
